As a child, CL travelled a lot around the world as her father is a
Physic university lecturer. She spent much of her pre-teen years
studying at France & Japan. She became a YG trainee in 2006 after
she personally handed her demo to YG. CL was a JYP trainee prior to
this. She was originally suppose to debut as a solo artist but she
became the leader of girl group, 2NE1/21. Though she barely understood
Korean when she returned to South Korea, she is now most comfortable
with speaking in Korean. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, rapping
and colouring. Leader CL is fierce when she’s on stage but she can a
total dork sometimes!
