Bom first enrolled in Lesley University majoring in Psychology but
switched to Berklee College of Music in order to pursue music studies.
She lived in Maryland in America for six years before moving to Korea
to train under YG Entertainment. She has trained with the company since
2005 and was to initially debut as a solo singer and release a single
on 2007. During her training years, Bom has been featured in several
Big Bang releases. Bom means “spring” in Korean. She was given that
name by her father because she was born in Spring 1984.
